Diablo 3 with localization for fans in countries like South Korea, China

Gaming fans in countries like South Korea, China, Japan, etc. always miss out on the instant fun of a game when it is released worldwide. This is for all countries where English is not part of the mainstream. However, Blizzard games are very popular in these countries. For example, Korea has a huge fan base for Starcraft, WoW, and the previous Diablo editions.

Blizzard has placed a lot of emphasis on localization for Diablo 3. In fact, Blizzard has also ensured that Asian gamers get exactly the same quality of game play, entertainment and experience with Diablo 3 as in the West. However, there might be some problems with the localization for the Chinese market specifically. This is because of censorship. Blizzard might go for subtitles instead of dubbing for the Chinese gamers.

Diablo release covers United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Europe, and some Middle East countries.

But localization of Diablo 3 is not about language alone. The localized version is for Korea, China, and Taiwan. The localized servers also give super connectivity and dedicated datacenters also cater to the needs of gamers. Low-latency and high-speed access is available to Asian gamers of Diablo as much as to Western gamers.
Blizzard has also set up local teams including community members, technical staff, game masters, etc. for these countries.

However, players from different regions might not be able to  play with players from other regions because of currency exchange, privacy and other issues. It might be mentioned that Diablo 3 comes with a dual auction house system that utilizes both in-game gold and real-world cash. Of course, gamers who are traveling would be able to access their home account. But they would not be able to move characters from the Diablo 3 version of one region to another version of the game in another region. Blizzard suggests that if gamers are going to be in a different region for an extended period of time then they might as well get a copy of Diablo 3 for that region rather than trying to log in from their home account.
